Knowing the landscape,
Doesn't make the trajectory clear

I got to present at this year's OCIB symposium.  It was a fun day meeting with my peers at both uOttawa and Carleton, and enjoyed attending the panel on Science Communication and Outreach.

I was honoured to present the initial findings from the application of my simulation tool SHAPE (Simulated Haploid Asexual Population Evolution).  Nobody seemed to take issue with the tool or its application which I'll take as equivalent to a thumbs up.  Let's hope this bodes well for my presentation at Evolution-ESEB in August.  Fingers crossed....

uOttawa Annual Global
Health Conference

Presented my research identifying correlated evolution, in response to antibiotic selection, using paired computational and traditional wet-lab approaches.

The conference was a great experience, I met a number of bright researchers working close to public health, and enjoyed the opportunity to share some basic research with my peers who work at the front-lines of health.
